Service Manager Console Doesn’t Display All Items

You’ve opened the console and connected to your management server of choice, but you don’t see all the views, and when you click on a view you don’t see all the items you should see!

This typically happens when you switch your console from one management server to another – particularly when they are members of different management groups.

Thankfully there is an easy fix.  Close the console and navigate to “C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\” and either rename or delete the folder “System Center Service Manager 2010”.  Then open the console again and connect to your management server.  Now you can see all the Views and view items your security role membership permits.
