Service Manager 2016 Exchange Connector: The Connection to the Server was Unsuccessful

If you follow the deployment guide for the Exchange Connector 3.1 you’ll find when you get down to the hyperlink for the Exchange Web Services API it doesn’t work.  This can cause you to search the web which will return lots of links for different versions of the API.  You may be tempted to deploy the latest version, however if you do you will get the following message:

To fix this issue you will need to download and deploy this version of the API:
